Solarunis
Privacy notice
This notice explains how Solarunis Energy Co., Ltd. handles personal information about website visitors and business contacts. Solarunis supplies businesses, not individual consumers. Information about an identifiable business contact is still personal information.
1. Scope and responsibility
Solarunis Energy Co., Ltd., at the address above, is responsible for the personal information it uses for the activities described here. This notice covers our public website and professional enquiries, prospecting and business relationships. It does not cover employment, recruitment or connected-product data.
2. Information we use
When you contact us by email, telephone or LinkedIn, we may receive your name, employer, role, business contact details, correspondence and project requirements. Business relationships may also involve order, delivery, invoice and warranty records. Please do not send sensitive personal information or details unrelated to your request.
Providing enquiry information is voluntary. Without sufficient details or a way to contact you, we may be unable to respond. Website delivery and security may involve IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser information.
3. Professional outreach and sources
We approach prospective business contacts mainly through LinkedIn and also by email, using relevant professional profile information and business communications. We use these details to identify relevant business opportunities and contact people about Solarunis products. Where required, we explain the specific source of your details when first contacting you; you can also ask us about that source.
A public profile or acceptance of a LinkedIn connection is not unrestricted marketing consent. Promotional contact must be relevant to the professional role and follow the rules applying to the destination and channel, including prior consent where required.
4. Marketing choices
To stop promotional contact, reply through the channel used or email info@solarunis.com, identifying the address or account concerned. We stop marketing promptly and within applicable legal deadlines. We do not circumvent an objection by changing channels or obtaining the same details again.
We may retain a minimum restricted do-not-contact record to respect your choice, not to market to you. Essential order, service and legally required communications are separate from promotional contact. You can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing.
5. Purposes and legal grounds
We use information to answer enquiries, provide requested information, manage business relationships, conduct permitted professional outreach, respect privacy choices, protect website delivery and meet legal obligations. Consent is used where the applicable law requires it. Necessary contractual steps apply where you are personally a party to the relevant contract; representing a corporate buyer does not itself make you a party.
Where permitted, legitimate interests may support relevant business communications and security, subject to the required balancing of rights and safeguards. This is not a general legal ground under Chinese personal-information law. We rely on an applicable statutory ground for each activity, including consent where required, rather than treating B2B contact as a universal exemption.
6. Retention
For incoming enquiries that do not become a customer relationship, we retain personal information for up to two years after the last contact from the enquirer, unless earlier deletion is appropriate or a specific legal obligation or claim requires retention. This is our policy, not a universal European retention period. An unanswered outgoing sales message does not restart this period.
Prospect details are kept only while relevant to a permitted business-contact purpose. Customer, contract, invoice and warranty records are kept as needed for the relationship, applicable legal requirements and claims. Security records are kept as needed for protection and incident handling. Minimum do-not-contact records are kept as needed to respect objections. We consider the purpose, legal requirements and risks when deciding these periods; records no longer needed are deleted or anonymised, subject to necessary backup expiry and legal holds.
7. Providers and international processing
Our staff in China handle business communications using Alibaba business email. Cloudflare Pages hosts the public website and supports its delivery and security. Authorised staff and service providers may handle information as needed for these purposes. LinkedIn operates its own platform; its privacy terms apply to its service, alongside our responsibilities for information we use.
Your information may be processed in China and in other countries where our providers operate, which may have different privacy laws. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, a specific permission or another legal mechanism, the relevant processing must meet those requirements. You can contact us about recipients, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your information. We disclose information to authorities where legally required and to advisers where necessary for legal matters.
8. Cookies and external services
Our public website currently has no analytics or advertising tags, tracking pixels or embedded social-media frames. We do not use website browsing to personalise advertising. Hosting or security services may process technical information and, when the relevant security features apply, use necessary security cookies.
External social links open another provider’s service, governed by its own privacy notice. If we introduce non-essential tracking, we will provide the required information and obtain consent before enabling it where required. If WhatsApp or WeChat is used for business communications, the relevant platform’s terms also apply; changes to our handling will be reflected in this notice.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law applying to your information, you may request information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Rights have conditions and exceptions under the relevant law. In particular, you may object to direct marketing.
Send requests to info@solarunis.com with enough information to locate the relevant record. We may ask for proportionate verification and respond within applicable legal deadlines. Do not send identity documents unless reasonably necessary and requested through an appropriate process. You may complain to the competent privacy regulator in your jurisdiction, including your local EU/EEA supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner where applicable.
10. Security
We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect information, including restricted access and account protection. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Suspected privacy or security incidents can be reported to info@solarunis.com; we assess and respond to incidents and any notification duties under applicable law.
11. Changes and contact
We update this notice when our handling or applicable requirements change and identify the effective date above. For questions about this notice, your information or marketing choices, contact info@solarunis.com or write to Solarunis Energy Co., Ltd. at the address above.
